Instructions for Submitting Public Comments

For in-person public meetings

The Danville Town Council encourages residents to participate in Council meetings.  If you wish to speak on a topic listed on the agenda, please fill out a “Request to Speak” form and pass it to the City Clerk.  When called upon by the Mayor, please step to the podium, state your name and address and then make your comments.  Comments from residents about subjects which are not listed on the agenda may be made under the matter “For the Good of the Town,” which appears on each agenda. Comments should not exceed three (3) minutes.

Watch Videos

Meetings of the Town Council are video recorded.  You can view Town Council meetings live on this webpage.  When a meeting is in progress, you will find a link to open the video viewer.  You can watch videos of past meetings in the archives. 

Archived meetings are arranged by date, with the most recent at the top of the list. Select Video to watch / listen to the meeting and view documents.  Select Agenda or Summary of Actions to view only the documents. You can also search the archives by typing keywords into the Search box.

Windows Media Player is required to view the videos. This can be downloaded for free from the Microsoft websiteThe minimum system requirements for watching the Archived video are available through Granicus.

Archives

There are two ways to search for documents in the Town archives.

  1. Look for the “Search Archives” area below the Upcoming Events section and enter a keyword to searchSearch Archives
  2. Browse Weblink, the online database

Open folders until you find the document you are looking for.
To view the document, click to open.
To search for a document using a specific word or phrase, click on Search on the left side of the page. Enter a keyword in the “Search terms” field. Click on “Search” in the green box at the bottom of the page.
To print a document, you must first open the document and convert it to PDF. +Click on the print/PDF icon on the navigation bar at the top of the document to start the process.
