Sidewalk Stroll: A Rainworks Project

Sidewalk Stroll: A Rainworks Project featured themed designs that appear on Downtown sidewalks when it rains. The artwork appeared at 10 locations, and the theme was revealed as visitors see each design.

Using special water-resistant spray, the Town’s cultural arts team placed messages on sidewalks around Downtown Danville. Visitors could pick up a passport map at the Village Theatre & Art Gallery, Danville Community Center, Danville Senior Center, or download one at www.danville.ca.gov/arts. The passport allowed visitors to participate in a scavenger hunt to find the designs and guess the theme. All participants who completed and turned in their passport card received an Auggie the Acorn coloring book, and all who answered the bonus question on the passport would be entered in a raffle.
