Citizens' Police Academy

If you have ever wanted to get an extended look at what law enforcement is really like, consider attending the Danville Citizen's Police Academy. There are two academies per year and classes are held on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for 7 consecutive weeks with two Saturday sessions from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Session topics include the following topics: 

  • Patrol procedures
  •  K-9 Operations
  • Traffic Enforcement
  • Impaired Driving
  •  Investigations
  • Crime Scene processing
  • Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT)
  • Firearms 
  • Driving Instruction

The spring session is currently running and we are taking applications for the fall session.
