PermitButton Opens in new windowThe Downtown Employee Permit Program aims to offer parking for Downtown merchants and employees, fostering economic vitality by optimizing patron parking. The fees for employee permit parking have remained similar for more than 13 years, with a fee waiver during the pandemic.  Parking permit fees have been reinstated for 2024 through a new online permit purchasing system, making it easier for business owners and employees to participate.

As part of the purchasing process, you must provide proof of employment either in the form of a recent pay stub or a business card. Verification can be completed through the online ordering process, or by submitting documents in person.

Employee Permit Parking Areas

Employee permit parking areas are now divided into three "zones" throughout the Downtown. When applying for a permit for Zone 2 ("red") or Zone 3 ("blue"), it is required that your place of business or employment is in the immediate vicinity. All permit holders are eligible to park in Zone 1 ("yellow"). Please reference the permit parking map when determining your parking zone. Additionally, parking zones posted in the field on existing parking signs.
