  1. Natural Grass Sports Fields Moratorium

    The Town of Danville Natural Grass Sports Fields are closed for the winter moratorium. Fields will reopen on March 1, 2024, weather permitting. Natural Grass Fields are CLOSED. Artificial Turf Fields are OPEN.

The Town of Danville manages 20 baseball/softball fields and 18 soccer/lacrosse fields for community use. Sports fields are located at three community parks and four schools. These multi-use sports field facilities are maintained by the Town of Danville and San Ramon Valley Unified School District. 

Natural Grass Sports Fields close for a winter moratorium each year. During the closure, maintenance crews make repairs, replace sod and renovate the fields in preparation for the new season. Natural Grass Sports Fields may also close in wet weather.

  1. The Dog Park at Hap Magee Ranch Park is closed for the winter moratorium.

    The Dog Park at Hap Magee Ranch Park is closed for the winter moratorium. The Dog Park will reopen on March 1, 2024, weather permitting.

During the normal usage season, the Canine Corral at Hap Magee Ranch Park is closed for maintenance every Tuesday until noon. This closure will allow maintenance work to be completed at the site while minimizing the impacts on the user groups.

The Dog Park closes for a winter moratorium each year. The Dog Park may also close in wet weather.
