Town employees are governed by personnel policies and procedures that are periodically updated and approved by the Town Council, most recently in 2018. View the Town of Danville Personnel Policies and Procedures (PDF). Administration of these policies and procedures is the responsibility of the Town Manager.
Town employees are classified according to position titles, and each classification has a corresponding salary range within which the employee is paid. View the current Town of Danville Job Descriptions and Salary Ranges. Salary adjustments occur based upon a "Pay for Performance" plan that links adjustments to individual employee performance. Town employees do not receive automatic "step" pay adjustments or automatic "cost of living" adjustments. Actual salaries within these ranges are determined by a combination of employee performance and length of service to the Town. Salary information for public employees is subject to public disclosure.
