SENIOR TO SENIOR 2023

Senior to Senior

The Town of Danville Senior Center is seeking senior citizens who would be willing to give their best advice to graduating seniors in high school on life, college, and more! Participating seniors will write their advice on a chalkboard and will take a photo with local Danville high school spirit wear in the background. The photos will be used for a social media campaign in May and sent to the local high schools in time for graduation.

Senior Citizens who are interested in participating should contact Recreation Superintendent, Jessica Wallner at 925-314-3426 or jwallner@danville.ca.gov by no later than Friday, April 7.

Lend A-Hand 19th Annual 2023

Lend-A-Hand

Gear up for National Volunteer Month in April by volunteering for the 19th annual Lend-a-Hand Day. Community volunteers are invited to assist their senior neighbors by providing volunteer yard work assistance to local Danville seniors. Each year, 150 volunteers join forces to provide this service and help neighbors in need. The duties involved include mowing, raking, weeding, and other basic yard cleanup. Events like this would not help without an engaged volunteer base and this event is proudly powered by volunteers!

Volunteers 13+ are welcome. Interested volunteers should register at www.danville.ca.gov/volunteer

For volunteer groups 12 and under, please contact RJ Natal at rnatal@danvill.ca.gov or 925-314-3402.
