Two Holiday Spotlights, One Easy Signup

This season, your storefront can shine twice. Register once, get visibility across the Lighting of the Old Oak Tree open‑house map and the Auggie Elf Holiday Hunt map.

The holidays are coming fast. This is the simplest way to double your visibility: confirm you’ll be open during Lighting of the Old Oak Tree and/or commit to a decorated window for the season — and unlock added exposure across both promotional maps. One sign‑up. Two ways to be seen.

How to register for two promotions at once

Step 1 — Pick one or both:

Lighting of the Old Oak Tree Open House (November 28 from 5 to 8 p.m.) — Welcome visitors with a small activity, treat, or photo opportunity.
Auggie Elf Holiday Hunt (November 28 to December 31) — Dress your window with holiday decor; we’ll provide a miniature Auggie the Acorn print for you to place in your display for shoppers to find using a Town-produced scavenger hunt-style map

Step 2 — Register once by November 16.

Step 3 — Get exposure in two places:

Lighting of the Old Oak Tree - Map highlighting open houses in the event footprint.
Auggie Elf Holiday Hunt - Map used by window shoppers throughout the season

Program Details

Lighting of the Old Oak Tree

Time: 5 to 8 p.m. November 28
Footprint: Hartz Ave from Linda Mesa Ave to School Street; Prospect Ave from Front Street to the Clocktower parking lot entrance.
Map: Participating downtown businesses appear on the official event map.
Participation: Brick‑and‑mortar businesses inside the footprint — or partners hosted by a brick‑and‑mortar within the footprint.

Auggie Elf Holiday Hunt

Time: November 28 to December 31
Details: Display ready before November 28 and lit until 9 p.m. for after‑hours window shoppers. Decorations visible from outside (exterior or display window).
Participation: Each participant receives a mini Auggie the Acorn print to display in the window.
Map: Layout will be centered on Downtown; other Danville areas appear as “Bonus Locations” by address.

Eligibility

Active Town of Danville business license.
Located within Town limits.
Register by November 16 to guarantee map placement.
Business must be in good standing.

What is this promotion?
- Think of it as “sign up once, get listed twice.” Choose Lighting of the Old Oak Tree or the Auggie Elf Holiday Hunt (or both) and receive exposure across both map experiences.
Can I participate if I’m outside the Lighting of the Old Oak Tree footprint?
- Yes. For Lighting of the Old Oak Tree, partner with a brick‑and‑mortar host within the footprint.
- For Auggie Elf Holiday Hunt, you’ll be shown as a Bonus Location by address.
Do I need to be open during Lighting of the Old Oak Tree?
- For Lighting of the Old Oak Tree Open Houses, yes — between 5 to 8 p.m. For Auggie Elf Holiday Hunt, windows must be visible and lit until 9 p.m.
What’s provided for Find Auggie?
- A miniature Auggie the Acorn print to place in your window, plus inclusion on the scavenger hunt map.
What if I register after November 16?
- We invite you to decorate for the season, but will not be able to guarantee placement on the map.
