Lineup Change Brings ZZ Top Cover Band to Town Green

Previously booked band is unavailable due to an emergency; popular tribute band steps in.

DANVILLE, Calif. (August 2, 2023): The Town of Danville is announcing a change to the final concert in this year’s Music in the Park summer concert series. Unauthorized Rolling Stones is unable to perform due to an emergency, and Beer Drinkers and Hell Raisers – the Ultimate ZZ Top Tribute is stepping in for the August 5 concert.

The final concert in the series is usually the largest, and takes place on the Town Green. The community is invited to pick up dinner at a local restaurant and bring their blankets and chairs to enjoy an evening of free classic rock. The concert is from 6 to 8 p.m., and parking will be available along streets and in all municipal lots.

The Town Green is at 420 Front Street, and the road in between the Danville Library and Village Theatre will be closed from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. for the concert. For more information on the street closure, visit www.danville.ca.gov. For more information on the concert, contact John Dunn, Performing Arts Program Coordinator, at 925-314-3418 or jdunn@danville.ca.gov.
