[ARCHIVED] Classical Musical Corner Series Brings Opera to Village Theatre

The Town of Danville continues its Classical Musical Corner series with operatic singer Sara Couden. The January 20 performance will be the third concert in the series, and will also feature Laura Jeannin on violin.

Praised for her rich and resonant voice, Sara Couden is considered a premiere interpreter of operatic, concert and song repertoire. She made a debut with the Cincinnati May Festival in 2021 and performed with St. Petersburg Opera in Florida as well as Berkeley’s West Edge Opera in 2022. This year she will be performing with the California Symphony as well as with the Brooklyn Art Song Society.

The Classical Music Corner will be held at the Village Theatre and Art Gallery at 233 Front Street on Friday, January 20 at 7 p.m.  Tickets are $20 for General Admission and $10 for students and educators. Visit to purchase tickets.

Previous shows in the series included a string quartet performance with Laura Jeannin in 2022 and a harpsichord performance with Jory Vinikour in 2021.
