Danville’s Village Theatre presents
A Night of Blues with Chris Cain
At 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, the Village Theatre will host a Night of Blues with renowned musical artist Chris Cain. With more than three decades of touring and fourteen albums, guitarist and vocalist Chris Cain is often known as the musician’s musician. He released his first album in 1987 and has since created his own blues sound inspired by his heroes—B.B. King, Albert King, Ray Charles, and Wes Montgomery, to name a few.
2021 was a good year, with his album release “Raisen’ Cain” receiving four BMA nominations, including Best Male Blues Artist and Best Blues Album of the Year. Living Blues Radio awarded it the second most played album in 2021, and it hit #1 in America and remained in the Top 10 for most of the year. Internationally “Raisin’ Cain” was #1 in Australia, #2 in the United Kingdom, and #3 in France.
The Village Theatre is located at 233 Front Street. The show starts at 8:00 p.m., and the Box Office opens one hour before. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit www.danville.ca.gov/vtshows or call (925) 314-3463.
