[ARCHIVED] 4th Season of Comedy with Liz Grant Begins Aug 29

Liz Grant Returns for 4th Season
Popular comedy show returns with Robert Mac

Over the last three years, comedian Liz Grant has brought a wide variety of talent to the stage at the Village Theatre & Art Gallery. Now she returns for a 4th season of the extremely popular Comedy with Liz Grant & Friends online on August 29, 2020.

Due to the restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic, the show will go on virtually via the Zoom app.  In the August show, Robert Mac joins the call to deliver his smart, brainy, dead-pan style of comedy. Robert Mac is a grand prize winner of Comedy Central’s national stand-up competition and has appeared on Last Comic Standing, Comedy Central, and more. He’s performed at Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, the San Francisco Comedy Competition, and the Boston Comedy Festival. He is best known for his Dry Bar Comedy Special which has over 10 million views.

Also featured on the call is Tony Sparks, an audience favorite known for his hilarious animated ad-libs. Tony is a legend in the comedy community, and for the past 18 years, has captivated audiences as the host of the most difficult comedy arena: open mic at The Brainwash Laundromat and Café in San Francisco. Your host is Liz Grant, who has opened for comedy greats such as Dana Carvey, Robin Williams and George Lopez.

Showtime is 7:30 p.m. on August 29, 2020. Price of admission for the Zoom performances is $15. Tickets can be purchased online at www.danville.ca.gov/villagetheatre. A link to the Zoom call will be emailed a day before the event and then again one hour prior.
