[ARCHIVED] Traffic Advisory: San Ramon Valley High School Homecoming Parade

Traffic Advisory

On Friday, September 26, some streets in Downtown Danville will be briefly closed in the afternoon for the annual San Ramon Valley High School (SRVHS) Homecoming Parade. Starting at 2:50 p.m., the parade will proceed through the downtown area between the high school and Prospect Avenue, with affected streets expected to reopen by 3:30 p.m.

The parade will travel in a loop beginning at SRVHS (501 Danville Blvd.), heading south on Danville Boulevard onto Hartz Avenue, west on West Prospect Avenue, and returning to SRVHS along Railroad Avenue.  To ensure the safety of the participants during the parade, traffic will be controlled through a series of rolling street closures.

Motorists are asked to use caution in the area and expect delays. The parade route map is available to view here. Pedestrians should use extra caution when crossing streets along the parade route.

For street closure information, contact Melysa Vander Mel at mvandermel@danville.ca.gov.
