[ARCHIVED] Behind-the-Scenes Field Trips and Tours at the Village Theatre & Art Gallery

Village Theatre & Art Gallery

Explore vibrant exhibitions, create hands-on art, and go backstage at the Danville historic theatre

Discover the magic of the arts from an insider’s perspective at the Village Theatre & Art Gallery. Through interactive field trips & tours, guests can explore vibrant exhibitions, step onto the historic theatre stage, and even peek behind the curtain for an exclusive backstage experience — all guided by knowledgeable docents who bring the stories of the art and theatre to life.

Field trips for kids and tours for all ages are available for groups of 5 to 40 people, making them ideal for classrooms, clubs, or community organizations. Pricing for tours and field trips is based on group size.

Field trips are for children ages 5 to 14 years and are offered Mondays and Tuesdays while an exhibition is open. These two-hour visits include a docent-led exhibition tour, a hands-on craft in the gallery, and an activity on stage in the Village Theatre.

Tours are a 90-minute experience open to all ages. Participants enjoy a docent-led exhibition walkthrough, an exclusive backstage pass to the Village Theatre, and a take-home craft or activity.
