Theme of 2025 parade is “Celebrating 50 years of Community Service”
The Town of Danville invites the community to the annual Kiwanis-Danville 4th of July Parade, hosted by the Kiwanis Club of the San Ramon Valley, in partnership with the Town. This year's parade will take place on Friday, July 4, along Hartz Avenue and San Ramon Valley Boulevard from 9 a.m. to noon.
The 2025 parade theme is “Celebrating 50 Years of Community Service,” marking the 50th anniversary of the Kiwanis Club of San Ramon Valley’s leadership in organizing and conducting the 4th of July Parade in Danville. Kiwanis has presented a parade every year since. This year’s Grand Marshal will honor Contra Costa and Solano Food Bank, also celebrating 50 years of community service. The parade will feature more than 100 participating groups, including over a dozen bands and numerous local organizations.
In preparation for the parade, the Town would like to offer some helpful tips for visitors:
- Review the parade map: The Kiwanis Club has an interactive route map with parking, bathrooms, and other key points available on their website at www.srvkiwanis.org/parade. Street closures near the parade route are also noted on the map.
- Choose your spot: Sidewalk space is available for bring-your-own seating on a first-come, first-served basis after 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 3. Unattended chairs or other items placed before 6 p.m. are subject to removal, and reserving spots with chalk or tape is not permitted. Please do not block handicap-accessible ramps on the street corners and sidewalk access points.
- Plan for parking: More than 30,000 people are expected at this year’s parade, and while many municipal lots are available, parking further and walking to the parade site may be the best alternative. A full list of lots is available on the Kiwanis parade website, including lots with accessible options and amenities.
The parade will take place along Hartz Avenue and San Ramon Valley Boulevard, starting at San Ramon Valley High School at Railroad Avenue and ending at Town and Country Drive. Street closures will begin at 6 a.m. July 4. For more information, visit the Kiwanis Club of San Ramon Valley website at www.srvkiwanis.org/parade.
