Extended shopping hours and a new production at the Village Theatre to begin this Friday
Looking for new ideas for a date night, family fun, or gathering with friends? Throughout August, the Town of Danville invites residents and visitors to enjoy Downtown Danville's extended shopping hours and cultural events every Friday evening during “Shop, Dine, and (see a) Play.”
Through August 30, select downtown shops will remain open until 7:30 p.m. on Fridays. This extension allows visitors to explore local small businesses in the historic downtown area before or after dining at a diverse selection of restaurants. Danville’s historic, tree-lined Downtown is the perfect backdrop for a summer evening stroll, with some of the area’s best restaurants and most unique locally owned shops.
Make the night completed with a live performance -- August 9 to 25 the Town presents the SPARC Theater production of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night at the Village Theatre. Performances are scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m.
