[ARCHIVED] Danville Celebrates Star Wars with May the 4th Be With You

Star Wars Square

May the 4th activities will include a scavenger hunt and pancake breakfast.

The force is strong in Danville: This year marks the 9th anniversary of the Town’s annual May the 4th Be With You festivities. Families and fans of all ages can join the rebellion on Saturday, May 4, as the Town of Danville hosts a celebration of all things Star Wars.

Kick start your Star Wars Day with a Jedi-approved family pancake breakfast during one of two time slots: from either 8:15-9:15 a.m. or 9:30-10:30 a.m. Pre-registration and a fee of $10 per person are required. Please sign up every family member who will be attending breakfast.

Starting at 11 a.m., visitors can stop by the Danville Community Center to pick up a free scavenger hunt list. The first 100 participants to complete the hunt will receive a grab bag of treasures from a galaxy far, far away!

Parents can sign up young Padawans for Jedi Training on the Town Green from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Pre-registration and a fee of $6 per child are required.

Show off your best Star Wars fashion during a costume contest at 6 p.m. on the Town Green, followed by a special sundown Moonlight Movie showing of Return of the Jedi.
