Danville exhibition showcases creativity forged from strength and steel beginning October 11
The Village Theatre Art Gallery is proud to present Melded Metals, a new art exhibition that explores the surprising beauty and creative potential found within one of the most rigid and industrial of materials: metal. The exhibition will be on view from October 11 through December 19 at the Village Theatre Art Gallery, located at 233 Front Street in Danville.
An opening reception will take place Saturday, October 11 from 4 to 6 p.m., offering the community an opportunity to meet the artists and be among the first to experience this striking collection. Admission is free, and light refreshments will be served.
Though metal is often associated with strength, hardness, and utility, the artists featured in Melded Metals have transformed raw and unyielding surfaces into works of art that reveal unexpected warmth, fluidity, and beauty. Through sculpture, design, and mixed media, the exhibition highlights the versatility of metal as an artistic medium and invites visitors to reconsider its place in both art and everyday life.
The Village Theatre & Art Gallery building dates back to 1913 and has been part of the community since its start as the Grange Hall. The building hosts quarterly art exhibitions and numerous live performances annually. The Art Gallery and theatre box office are open Wednesday-Friday, noon to 5 p.m.; and Saturday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
