[ARCHIVED] Scarecrow Stroll Returns to Downtown Danville Starting October 11

Scarecrow Stroll - 2024

Local businesses to create customized scarecrows for annual community event

Welcome in the fall season during the annual Town of Danville Scarecrow Stroll, kicking off October 11 and running through November 10. This family-friendly event features more than 20 decorated scarecrows, created by local businesses and organizations to encourage the community to take a leisurely walk through Downtown Danville.

Visitors can take selfies with the scarecrows and vote for their favorite while discovering local businesses. Each participating business puts their creative spin on traditional scarecrows, offering a variety of themes and styles. From whimsical to spooky, these scarecrows celebrate fall while celebrating all that Downtown Danville has to offer.

Online voting begins October 11, and each vote is entered into a weekly drawing for Town of Danville prizes, including Mini Auggie mascot stuffies. As an added bonus, many of the Downtown businesses are also offering “scary” good specials during the Scarecrow Stroll.

A map of the scarecrows with a list of special offers as well as a link to vote is available at www.danville.ca.gov/scarecrowstroll. Participants are encouraged to take photos with the scarecrows and share them when they submit their vote online.
