Frequently Asked Questions

When registration falls below the minimum enrollment required, canceled with a makeup class, or illness, it may be necessary to cancel a class or program. At the time of cancellation, the Town will initiate a full refund, minus any credit card or service fees. Check refunds may take 4 to 6 weeks to process.

• Whenever possible, make-ups will be given on those occasions when inclement weather or instructor illness requires that a class be canceled. See instructor at next scheduled meeting for the make-up date.
• No refunds (whole or partial) can be given for classes missed by the student.

Yes. The photo liability disclosure includes understanding that photographs and/or video may be taken during the course of any activity and that these photographs and video may be used for Town of Danville publicity purposes.

Waitlists will be established once a class has reached maximum enrollment. If space becomes available, you will be contacted by phone and / or email.

Refund Policy
Unless otherwise stated, requested withdrawals will be approved upon submitting this request at least seven business days prior to the first day of class. Withdrawals requested within the seven business days of the date of the activity are not guaranteed refunds or credits. They will be processed and evaluated on a case by case basis. 
A $20.00 administrative fee will be charged for processing refunds by check only.
A $5.00 per activity administrative fee will be assessed when processing refunds back to credit cards.
Credit Card Processing Fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Refund/Credit Granted
Credit granted will first be applied to future or past payments due. Please tell us how you would like us to process any remaining credit for the withdrawal / transfer.

Submitting the form authorizes the Town of Danville Recreation, Arts and Community Services to process the withdrawal. If the money was paid by check, it will be issued to the address on file within 4 to 6 weeks. If a credit card was the original form of payment, the same card will be credited.

Sweaters and jackets are left on site for easy retrieval.

For valuable items left at a park, call maintenance at 925-314-3450.

For items left at a camp or a facility, call the Danville Community Center at 925-314-3400.

Activity guides are delivered to the Post Office and bulk mailed to zip codes 94526, 94506, 94507, and 94528. 

The activity guide is also available for pick up at the Danville Community Center, Danville Senior Center, or the Town of Danville Library.

For residents outside the incorporated Town of Danville limits:

Each quarter, the Town receives a number of questions regarding the residency status for individuals and families wishing to register for Town-sponsored programs and activities. Those living outside the Danville Town limits include residents of the communities of Alamo and Diablo, and the Alamo Creek, Bettencourt Ranch, Blackhawk, Bryan Ranch, Monterosso, Shadow Creek, and Whitegate housing developments. In order to verify your residency in Danville, you can:

1. Look up your street address in the index of the Thomas Bros. Guide; it will state Danville or Contra Costa County for zip code 94506
2. Review the information on your property tax bill
3. Check your residency status online

FEES

The program and facility fees cover a large portion of the actual costs, though Town of Danville residents also partially support the classes, events, and facilities through their property tax assessments. Because of this, those program participants and individuals reserving Town facilities who live outside of Danville pay an additional non-resident charge. 

Special Notice to Alamo Residents living in the Alamo County Service Area R-7A: 

All Alamo residents are eligible to register for Town-sponsored programs scheduled at Hap Magee Ranch Park during the resident registration period. Effective May 9, 2023, resident fees will apply for these classes and activities. For more information, please call 925-314-3400.

Please call the Danville Community Center at 925-314-3400 to inquire about adding to a class late. The Town of Danville does not prorate for classes missed by the student or for signing up after an activity has started.
