Danville Invites Youth Artists to Enter Summer Activity Guide Cover Art Contest
The Town of Danville invites young artists to showcase their creativity in the 2026 Summer Activity Guide Cover Art Contest. The contest theme is “Coloring Outside the Lines,” and artists should use colored pencil to depict a summer scene in Danville. The selected artwork will be featured on the cover of the Danville Summer Activity Guide, a publication mailed to every household in Danville.
The contest offers children and teens age 11-17 a unique opportunity to express themselves through art while representing the community they call home. Creating a cover design gives young artists a chance to share their perspective, celebrate what they love about Danville, and see their creativity recognized beyond the classroom or home. The winning artist will receive public recognition and the exciting opportunity to have their artwork featured prominently on a guide that connects residents with Danville’s summer programs, events, and activities.
Artwork must be vertical and sized 8.5” x 11”. Submissions should be fully colored by hand with colored pencils and artwork must be original. To enter, participants must email a photo of their illustration to Megan Eddings at meddings@danville.ca.gov by March 11, 2026. After a winner is selected, the original artwork will be used to create a high-resolution image for the cover.
