As the Town wraps up the Downtown Master Plan Catalyst Project, this week's clear weather provides the opportunity to complete decorative stamping at the intersections in the project area. With no rain in the immediate forecast, we are starting the stamping project Monday, January 6. The stamping project is expected to be complete by the end of this week.
The work will be done between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. One intersection will be closed at a time, starting at School Street and working north along Hartz Avenue to Linda Mesa Avenue. The project will require each intersection to be closed during the active overnight work only. All streets and intersections will be open between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.
The stamping work will be an attractive addition, and will also provide a visual queue to drivers that they are approaching an intersection. The actual process will entail loud, intermittent noise overnight, and will result in a brick-like finish through the crosswalks and intersections.
