Follow-Up Advisory from the Danville Police Department
Immediately after receiving reports of an armed person acting suspiciously on October 18 on the 600 block of Park Hill Road, Danville Police Department responded, took witness statements, and launched an immediate and intensive search. They knocked on doors, used a drone, and a K9 to locate the person based on video and eyewitness descriptions. He was not located, and the Police Department kept up an increased presence in the area afterward. After following all logical investigative paths and leads, the person was not found, and we've received no additional reports.
We would like to confirm that the investigation remains open. In an effort to identify the armed individual involved, we are now widely releasing the video footage from the scene to the public.
