The Town of Danville has two quarterly publications mailed to all residents. The Danville Activity Guide features upcoming activities, classes, and events. The Live Locally Newsletter features Town news and information. Both are also available online.

The Earthquake Notification Service (ENS) is a free service that can send you automated notification emails or text notifications to your cell when earthquakes happen in your area.
PulsePoint Respond is a 911-connected app that can immediately inform you of emergencies occurring in your community and can request your help when CPR is needed nearby. www.pulsepoint.org/

Danville, Contra Costa County, and many other areas of the Bay Area and California use third-party software Zonehaven to divide communities into evacuation zones. Danville’s zones have been approved by the San Ramon Valley Fire District, Danville Police Department, and the Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff. They are now live via the Zonehaven website community.zonehaven.com/
- Learn Your Zone - Residents can view their zone by entering their address at community.zonehaven.com. It is a good idea to bookmark this page so that you can easily refer to it.

Preparing for Emergencies
- Check landline backup batteries and replace if necessary.
- Fully charge mobile phones, devices, batteries, and portable rechargers.
- Back up computer data and print out important personal emergency information.
- Note local emergency and non-emergency numbers.
- Consider buying a battery-operated, solar-powered, or hand-cranked radio or portable TV.
During & After an Emergency
- Seek shelter and monitor emergency broadcasts.
- Switch phones and devices to power-saving modes and turn off when not in use.
- Call 911 only when necessary and limit non-emergency calls. You can also text 911.
- Avoid repetitive redialing. Text messages may go through when voice calls cannot.
- If evacuated, forward your landline to your cell phone, if possible.
