[ARCHIVED] Storm Recovery Updates

CFDFB8E1-670C-4D7E-AE6A-4EA248A94A33

Towns maintenance crews are working throughout the area to assess damage from yesterday’s storm. We want to thank the community for your continued support and diligence in reporting issues in your neighborhoods. As crews clear thick mud and silt from intersections, please avoid those areas. Here are some key updates:

DIABLO ROAD: There is a mudslide that will likely take most of the day for crews to clear  — they are on site and actively working on the issue.

SYCAMORE VALLEY ROAD AND BROOKSIDE: Crews have re-opened the  intersection in both directions.

EL CAPITAN AND BROOKSIDE: El Capitan remains closed, and we are working to get the mud cleared work will continue throughout the day and perhaps tomorrow — motorists should avoid the area.

POWER OUTAGE: There is a large tree blocking at Blackhawk Road and Cameron Court. The tree fell into utility lines and PG&E is working on the removal/repair. For outage information, please visit www.pge.com/outages.

OTHER AREAS: Our priority is to safely re-open all roads. This may mean that large piles of dirt and debris are present nearby for some time, and both pedestrians and motorists should use caution in these areas.  Smaller streets will be cleared once the main roads are opened.

SANDBAGS: With more rain expected, staff are replenishing supplies at the Town’s Service Center, 1000 Sherburne Hills Road. The station is open 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.

REPORTING: Storm-related safety concerns such as downed trees or flooding should be reported to the Danville Police Department at 925-820-2144.
