The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for Danville and surrounding communities, effective through 10 p.m. Please avoid areas prone to flooding, and do not attempt to drive on or across flooded roads. Town maintenance crews are out working on clearing debris and downed trees, and are in communication with Contra Costa County Flood Control.
UPDATE: Due to extremely high demand during the US National Weather Service flood watch, the sand supply at the Town’s Service Center has been depleted. Sand will be replenished early next week: We will post updates as they are available, so the community can plan ahead for future storms. For those living in unincorporated areas, visit www.contracosta.ca.gov/Sandbags for information.
Maintenance staff continue to work throughout the Town to assess and address storm impacts. Storm-related concerns such as downed trees or flooding should be reported to the Danville Police Department at 925-820-2144. Please continue to avoid travel if possible, and do not attempt to drive through flooded areas or intersections.
