New Danville Picks Holiday Gift Guide Available Now

Town of Danville Holiday Gift Guide 2022_Cover_Page_01

It’s time to bring back the joy to holiday shopping. This season, do less scrolling and more strolling, shopping for special gifts at Danville’s many locally owned small businesses. The Town of Danville has published the 2022 Danville Picks Holiday Gift Guide, which will be mailed to more than 55,000 households at the end of November in the Your Town Monthly publication.

The Danville Picks Holiday Gift Guide is part of the town’s initiative to encourage shopping at local businesses. The community can use the guide to plan a relaxing shopping experience, enjoying the crisp air as they find one-of-a-kind gifts for the special people in their life – and maybe treat themselves along the way.

The guide is available just in time to support Small Business Saturday November 26, a “shop local” initiative co-sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration. In addition to mailing the guide to homes, the Town of Danville has made the guide available online at danville.ca.gov/holidaygiftguide. Shoppers can also find a QR code link to the guide displayed around downtown and in store windows.

“Local businesses provided supplies, food, and distraction for us all during the pandemic, and we can show our support by shopping in person this season,” said Jill Bergman, Town Business and Economic Development Director. “Shopping locally directly supports our community: $68 of every $100 spent in a local, independently owned shop stays here in Danville.”

The theme of this year’s gift guide and shop local campaign is “Joy and Bliss You Won’t Want to Miss.” The community is encouraged to turn holiday shopping into an enjoyable, leisurely experience. Even for those prone to last-minute shopping, local businesses carry gifts for everyone that are competitively priced and ready to wrap. Some businesses also offer online ordering and curbside pickup for the ultimate in speedy shopping.
