[ARCHIVED] We would like to remind residents that ALL Fireworks are illegal in Contra Costa County

ALL Fireworks Illegal in Contra Costa County

As we head towards July 4, we would like to remind residents that ALL Fireworks are illegal in Contra Costa County.

This 4th of July, consider celebrating with glow sticks, LED light wands, or paper confetti instead of risking injury or fire with fireworks.

Contra Costa County is a ‘fireworks-free zone’; the sale, possession or use of fireworks of all types and sizes (including Safe & Sane fireworks and sparklers) are banned in the county. This includes the unincorporated areas as well as towns and cities including Danville.

Fire Danger is extremely high. Help keep Danville safe. Please report fireworks to the Danville Police by phoning 925-820-2144.  If the incident rises to an unsafe or emergency situation, please call 911.
