Tell Your Story - Life During the Time of COVID-19

Museum of the San Ramon Valley - Tell Your Story - Life During the Time of COVID-19

The mission of the Museum of the San Ramon Valley is to collect and preserve the history of this place we all call home. Well, we are living through historic times right now and it is important to all of us that the story of these times – including your own story – gets captured and told to future generations. With this as a backdrop, we have two requests of you:

Share Your Story

The thoughts and experiences we have all had during the COVID-19 global pandemic will give valuable insights to future generations. The museum is creating a collection to document life in the San Ramon Valley during this unique and challenging time. We invite you to share your stories, photographs, art, or poetry you’ve created, and anything else you wish to share related to your life during the pandemic.

If you would like to share your COVID-19 story, go to the museum website https://museumsrv.org/share-your-story-covid-19-pandemic/ to access the questionnaire. Please fill it out and upload any photos or documents you have that bring your story to life. Stories by minors must be submitted by a parent or guardian.

Help the Museum with your Donations

The Museum of the San Ramon Valley is a non-profit organization and has been hard-hit by COVID restrictions. We have been closed since last March which has meant no revenue from admissions to exhibits, canceled fundraising events, cutback on grants as non-profit foundations have also suffered losses. The museum must continue to maintain our facilities, including the Railroad Depot on Railroad Avenue and the One Room Schoolhouse on Finley Road. Your donations will help us continue our mission of providing educational and cultural content for the residents of the San Ramon Valley. We truly appreciate any help you can provide us. If you wish to donate, visit the museum website at https://museumsrv.org/ and click the "Donate Now" button.

We are in uncertain times, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you for sharing your stories with us and for your generosity. We are proud to be a vital part of this community.
