The Canine Corral at Hap Magee Ranch Park has reopened after a winter moratorium.
The 1.5 acre Canine Corral provides hours of leash-free fun for Danville dogs. The Corral is non-monitored, and relies on its users to maintain reasonable conditions and sanitation - in other words, everybody picks-up after their dogs!
The dog park has separate play areas for large and small dogs. The play surface is grass and includes benches, water features and minimal shade.
RULES & REGULATIONS
Before embarking on a trip to the Canine Corral it is important that users understand the rules and regulations to ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone.
ETIQUETTE TIPS FOR OUR CANINE FRIENDS
During the normal usage season, the Canine Corral at Hap Magee Ranch Park is closed for maintenance every Tuesday until noon. This closure will allow maintenance work to be completed at the site while minimizing the impacts on the user groups. Tasks will be conducted such as:
- Mowing
- Irrigation repairs
- Weed abatement
- Hardscape repairs and others
This weekly closure will also allow the grass a day of rest which should extend the life of the turf to further enhance the usability of this area and maximize the experience for patrons of the dog park.
INCLEMENT WEATHER
It is also closed during periods of inclement weather. Please call Dog Park Information 925-314-3484 to learn of any closures.
