Annual July 4 Parade Goes Virtual
As we head into the summer months, the Kiwanis Club of the San Ramon Valley is calling on the community to participate in their first ever virtual July 4 Parade. Due to the restrictions placed on the Town as a result of the coronavirus, and the sheer amount of time and effort that goes into planning this massive event, the Kiwanis made the decision to move the celebration online for this year. The July 4 Parade will be held online July 4, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. as a livestream.
Full details of this event can be found on the Kiwanis website at https://www.srvkiwanis.org/parade
The virtual parade will begin at 10:00am on Saturday, July 4th, 2020, and will run approximately 2 hours. We will also be showing a pre-parade slideshow of past parade photos, 2020 grad yard signs, and flags from approximately 8:00am-10:00am, with the possibility of a surprise guest or two!
The event will be livestreamed to several locations:
Another way residents can be a part of the festivities is to post photos and videos of their 2020 July 4 celebrations to social media with the hashtag #4thgonevirtual. Decorated your home with flags and bunting? Post a pic. Your kids have made an amazing 4th of July fireworks chalk art on your sidewalk? Put it online and hashtag it.
