Hair Salons Open on June 17
As we continue to see changes in the Shelter in Place order and more businesses are being allowed to reopen, this week will mark the return of hair salons and barber shops. Those facilities will be able to reopen on June 17, 2020. Patrons looking to go to a hair salon or barber shop are reminded that facial coverings and social distancing are still required to assist in preventing any further spread of the coronavirus. Social distancing protocols for businesses can be found on the Town’s Small Business Resources webpage.
We know there is a lot of interest in when nail salons will open. We do not have confirmation on a date for those businesses as of yet, but as soon as we do, we will post that information to the community.
Outdoor Dining and COVID-19 Safety
As of the June 5, 2020 Shelter in Place Order, outdoor dining is allowed in Danville. Many Danville residents have flocked to the downtown to resume dining at the town’s eating establishment.
Some suggestions for residents coming to dine:
- If you have a cough, sneezing or any other COVID-19 symptoms, please do not come to the outdoor dining areas.
- While waiting for a table, going to your table or exiting from your table, continue to observe COVID-19 safety guidelines such as social distancing and wearing facial covering. This is to protect restaurant staff, other customers, and yourselves.
- Be patient. With the new guidelines, it may take longer than usual to seat guests at a table, or to serve their meal.
- Treat your servers respectfully and well. They are working with a new system, and (for some) in a new location.
