Call for Artists: Community Pianos

Calling all San Ramon Valley School District Students!
The Town of Danville is seeking experienced middle school and high school art students from the school district to submit original designs for the re-painting of the Danville community pianos for the summer of 2023. This year, two pianos will be placed downtown for all to enjoy and play this summer. The theme will be inspired by the "Bound for Books" public art project, artists are prompted to create a design based on plays, musicals, movies, and/or songs based on books.
Artists who wish to participate are required to submit colored sketches of their designs for what they envision for the piano (limit, one design per person and/or 'art team'). Artists are free to illustrate any concept within the theme presented by the Town of Danville.
Applications open through June 15
