Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States. The most common types include Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) and Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD). This session will discuss the benefit of a Lipoprotein profile to measure cholesterol in the blood (HDL, LDL, triglycerides), a major risk factor in heart disease, stroke, and other cardiovascular problems.
