Danville Business Assistance Program

In response to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, the Town of Danville has partnered with Townsend Public Affairs to offer a FREE program to help eligible Danville businesses access available funds and resources offered by the state and federal governments.

If you would like support and guidance for your small business to help access available funds and resources offered by the state and federal governments, please fill out the Business Interest Questionnaire.

Given the number of business aid programs, each with its own eligibility requirements and limited available funding, it can be cumbersome for small business owners, who are focused on keeping the lights on and their employees paid through the reopening process, to identify and navigate the maze of assistance programs.

In response, the Town of Danville is partnering with Townsend Public Affairs to provide direct one-on-one assistance to small businesses, help determine the best resources to meet each business’s unique circumstance, and to help businesses with the process of preparing and submitting applications. This service is paid for by the Town of Danville for eligible Danville-based businesses.

Once a business has been qualified to be part of the program, program staff will connect directly with business owners and their representatives, to evaluate their individual goals and desired outcomes. Using this information, program staff will identify what assistance programs the business may be eligible for, and how they can leverage those programs to achieve their goals.
  • Guidance and Direct Support

The Business Assistance Program will provide businesses with direct support as they apply for the identified programs, including assessment of eligibility, step-by-step instructions, identification of information needed to submit with any applications, and addressing any technical questions they may have with the application.
  • Assistance with Application Issues

Where necessary and able, Business Assistance Program staff will act as a liaison to individual agencies and departments to assist businesses in resolving issues with their application. This includes utilizing legislative contacts, relationships with state and federal government officials, and collaboration with industry groups.
