Pool / Spa Permit

A pool/spa permit is required for any pool, spa or hot tub installation or remodel. This includes re-plastering of pool/spa.

Steps to Securing a Permit

  1. Review your zoning and setback requirements to understand where a pool may be placed on your property. Planning staff can assist you with this search.
  2. Work with a pool contractor to design your plans in accordance to the California Building Code to ensure proper safety features are included (e.g. fencing, gates, alarms, etc.).
  3. Review the submittal requirements for a pool/spa and complete the building permit application.
  4. Be sure to have Central Contra Costa Sanitary District review/stamp your plans prior to submitting an application with the Town.
