Village Theatre

Built in 1873 for use as a farmer's lodge, the Village Theatre has been used as a Grange Hall, movie theatre, and church. Recognized as a historic site by the Heritage Resource Commission, the Village Theatre now serves as Performing Arts Theatre.

Village Theatre Art Gallery

In 2009, the Village Theatre was renovated and the lobby expanded to include an art gallery. The 1,000 square feet space opened its doors on November 14, 2009 and hosts quality art exhibits and receptions.

Museum of the San Ramon Valley

Founded in 1985, the Museum of the San Ramon Valley preserves and interprets the history of the valley through exhibits, tours, archival collections, and special programs for the public and students.

Eugene O'Neill National Historic Site

Historic Military Museum

An important piece of history right in downtown Danville, the Veterans Memorial Building is a long-standing facility on Hartz Avenue that has been serving the needs of veterans for decades. In 2012, the memorial building reopened after a multi-million dollar renovation. Residents are encouraged to come to the Veterans Memorial Building and check out the Historical Military Museum. The museum houses a collection of memorabilia provided by the area veterans groups that spans generations. The mission of the Historical Military Museum is to honor the service and sacrifices of our country's veterans, promote knowledge, and foster appreciation of our country's history. Volunteer docents are available Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. to guide visitors through the museum.


The Historical Military Museum is located inside the Veterans Memorial Building at 400 Hartz Avenue.
