• Housing Information

  • The Town of Danville is home to more than 43,000 people, and offers a diverse selection of housing choices for its residents. Whether you are interested in renting or buying, need an apartment or a home, you are certain to find the perfect Danville address.

  • Affordable Housing Ownership Opportunities

The Town of Danville Below Market Rate  (BMR) unit program is tailored for households in the “median” and “moderate” income categories, as defined by the Area Median Income index. The affordable housing available through this program includes pre-identified units which are deed restricted to remain affordable for a 20 year period (with respect to other homes within the Town). Units become available as part of new development projects or when current owners decide to sell their existing units.

The Town of Danville does not broker these units so a realtor would need to be contacted to conduct a search of current deed restricted units available.

For those seeking home buyer education and counseling, the Town recommends contacting a local resource such as the Tri-Valley Housing Opportunity Center (TVHOC).

  • Affordable  Rental Housing Opportunities

The following directory lists apartment complexes that provide affordable units within the Tri-Valley.  The Town does not maintain a wait list or manage the units. You are encouraged to call the apartment complex you are interested in to obtain more information on eligibility, unit availability, or wait list placement. The apartment operator sets the rental rate and executes the rental agreements for affordable units within their complex. The directory is published as a public service by Tri-Valley members which include the Counties of Alameda and Contra Costa, the Cities of Dublin, Livermore, Pleasanton, San Ramon, and Danville.
